Through the
years, I have had the privilege of doing many things; but I
have to say, nothing compares to the joy of working for the
Lord. There is joy in the Lord and scripture says that is
strength. No matter what your position, if you have that
joy, it will carry you because it is your strength. Those
of you who have this know exactly what I'm talking about.
When I was in
my twenties, I learned how to fly a plane. I had the most
wonderful flight instructor, John Julian, who has since gone
home. He was a great inspiration and a man full of Jesus as is
his wonderful wife Bernie. After his passing I even had the
privilege of speaking at his memorial. He was a man full of
wisdom and compassion and oh the stories I could share about the
times we were in the air. After I had gone through all the
instruction and was on my own, I was always in awe as I would
look out the windows down on the beauty God created. What fond
memories.!
I've been a teacher, a
welder, a truck driver (now there was an experience). I've
worked in the mill, in the rehab with addicts, and have been in
law enforcement. However, through all those years and all
those many roads traveled, I have found I was only on a mission
for God, and let me say, I have seen God perform a lot of miracles
in a lot of lives.
As a musician, I
traveled a lot of miles and performed with my guitar in a lot of
places, and had met many interesting people and so-called
celebrities if you will. And so, it becomes my opinion that all
the experiences God has granted me over the years has made me
the Pastor I am today. I've seen both sides of the
supernatural, and have even put the devil in his place more than
a time or two. Each experience through my life has been light shed on
the graciousness of God, and I've been able to find satisfaction
in where I've been and where I am. I don't push God, but I do
put my trust and faith in Him knowing He will work all things
together for good to those called according to His purpose. It is God who gets the glory, and it is my
Jesus who I thank for saving my soul.

Mark 6:4
But Jesus said to them,
A prophet is not without honor except
in his own country, among his own relatives, and in his
own house.
