Have
you ever given real thought to the Salvation Army and what they
do? We've all seen those red kettles at Christmas time, but
have you ever really given thought as to why they were there?
Their mission statement has the answer:
Mission Statement
The
Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical
part of the universal Christian church. Its message is based on
the Bible. Its ministry is motivated by the love of God. Its
mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet
human needs in His name without discrimination.

I want to spend just a moment to tell you
what God has done.
As a Christian people, we know that God
uses us to complete His work. His love is to show through each
of us, and this should be the mission of each and every
believer. After all, it was a command that Jesus left with us,
He said love one another, just as I have loved you. We are to
reach out, we are to go, we are to make disciples, and this is
the message of love.
That is why this ministry in conjunction
with the Salvation Army of N.E. Ohio has come together to reach
out to our communities. We want to help others, we want to show
others the love of God through our lips and by our actions.
There are many ways to do this, but I can think of no better way
to reach the greater whole of the communities where we live than
by ministering to others through this wonderful endeavor.
God has granted Living Waters Community
Church a great opportunity and a great responsibility. As we
grow in this endeavor, there is no doubt in my mind God will
move on the hearts and lives of others.
If you have a desire to serve the Lord by
serving others, we would love for you to help us.
